FNDM is operated by FNDM Ventures, LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("FNDM," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share your information when you use our service.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in several ways when you use FNDM:

Information You Provide

  • Account Information: Email address, name, password (hashed)
  • Profile Information: Nickname, profile picture, city (optional)
  • Flight Information: Flight numbers, seat numbers, destinations (user-entered)
  • Survey Responses: Travel preferences and interests

Information Collected Automatically

  • Game Data: Scores, points earned, games played, lottery results
  • Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, session duration
  • Device Information: Browser type, operating system, device type
  • Log Data: IP address (for security and analytics), timestamps

Information from Third Parties

  • Flight Data: We use third-party APIs for flight information (not linked to your identity)
  • Social Login: If you sign in via social media, we receive your basic profile info

2. Boarding Pass Verification

When you verify your boarding pass, we process the image solely to extract your flight details. We do not store your boarding pass image on our servers. The image is processed in real-time and immediately discarded after verification.

Information We Extract and Store:

  • Flight number and airline
  • Departure and arrival airports
  • Flight date and scheduled time
  • Seat assignment

Information We Do NOT Store:

  • Boarding pass images
  • Booking confirmation codes
  • Barcode or QR code data
  • Frequent flyer numbers
  • Ticket prices or payment information

This information is used to enable flight-specific features such as destination trivia games and the seat lottery. You can delete your flight history at any time from your profile settings.

3. Wallet & NFT Data

If you choose to connect a Solana wallet to verify NFT community membership:

Information We Collect:

  • Wallet Address: Your public wallet address (this information is already public on the blockchain)
  • NFT Ownership: We verify ownership of NFTs from specific collections to provide membership benefits (e.g., points multipliers)
  • Verification Status: Whether you have successfully verified NFT ownership

Information We Do NOT Access:

  • Private keys or seed phrases
  • Ability to initiate transactions on your behalf
  • Other wallet contents beyond verified collections

Wallet connection is entirely optional. You can disconnect your wallet at any time from your profile settings, which will remove the stored wallet address and any associated verification status.

4. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

5. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information in the following circumstances:

Service Providers

We work with trusted third parties who help us operate the Service:

  • Cloud hosting providers (data storage)
  • Email service providers (transactional emails)
  • Analytics providers (usage statistics)

Winner Announcements

When you win a lottery or achieve a milestone, we may announce this on social media using only your first name. You can opt out of this in your account settings.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of FNDM, our users, or the public.

Business Transfers

If FNDM is acquired or merged, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.

6. Third-Party Services

FNDM integrates with or uses the following third-party services:

  • AviationStack: Flight data API (no personal data shared)
  • X (Twitter): Winner announcements (first name only)
  • Cloudinary: Image hosting for profile pictures
  • Survey Providers: Third-party surveys for earning points (Pollfish, BitLabs)

7. Data Wallet (Future)

We are developing a Data Wallet feature that will give you more control over your data:

  • Data Ownership: You will be able to see all data we have about you
  • Opt-in Monetization: Choose to share specific data with partners in exchange for rewards
  • Transparency: Clear visibility into how your data is used
  • Control: Revoke data sharing permissions at any time

This feature will be subject to additional terms when launched.

8. Cookies & Tracking

We use the following technologies:

Essential Cookies

  • Session cookies for authentication
  • Security cookies for fraud prevention

Local Storage

  • Authentication tokens
  • User preferences
  • Game state (for offline capability)
  • Flight check-in data

Analytics

We collect anonymous usage statistics to improve our Service. This data is aggregated and cannot identify individual users.

9. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

  • Encryption in Transit: All data is transmitted over HTTPS
  • Password Security: Passwords are hashed using bcrypt (we never store plain text passwords)
  • Access Controls: Employee access to user data is limited and logged
  • Secure Infrastructure: Our servers are hosted on secure, reputable cloud platforms

While we strive to protect your data, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your data:

Access

You can view your profile and game data within the app at any time.

Correction

You can update your profile information in the app settings.

Deletion

You can request deletion of your account by contacting us at privacy@fndm.app. We will delete your data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

Data Portability

You can request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format. This feature will be available in a future update.

Opt-Out

  • Marketing emails: Unsubscribe link in each email
  • Winner announcements: Toggle in account settings
  • Analytics: Contact us to opt out

11. Children's Privacy

FNDM is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

12. International Users

FNDM is operated from the United States. If you are accessing the Service from outside the United States, please be aware that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States.

For EU/EEA Users

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area:

  • We process your data based on consent and legitimate interests
  • You have additional rights under GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
  • Contact us at privacy@fndm.app to exercise your GDPR rights

13. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

Your Rights

  • Right to Know: You may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you in the past 12 months.
  • Right to Delete: You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale: We do not sell your personal information. If this changes, we will provide a "Do Not Sell My Personal Information" link.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.

How to Exercise Your Rights

To submit a request, contact us at privacy@fndm.app with the subject line "CCPA Request." We will verify your identity and respond within 45 days.

Categories of Information Collected

In the past 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information:

  • Identifiers (email address, name, IP address)
  • Internet activity (usage data, game scores, preferences)
  • Geolocation data (derived from IP address, flight destinations)

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes:

  • We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
  • For material changes, we will notify you via email or in-app notification
  • We encourage you to review this policy periodically

Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
